Dr. Pamela Katic

Dr. Pamela G. Katic is a Researcher — Economics at the West Africa Office of the International Water Management Institute.

Pamela was born and raised in Argentina. She received her Bachelor of Economics with honors from the Universidad de San Andrés, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Later, she moved to Australia where she received her Master’s in Environmental and Resource Economics and her PhD in Economics from the Australian National University. During this time, she gained considerable teaching and research experience in environmental, labor and macro- economics.

In February 2011, Pamela was appointed as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Economics at the West Africa Office of IWMI in Accra, Ghana. In this position, she has gained experience assessing the constraints and opportunities of innovative land and water management technologies in West Africa. She has also contributed to the development of research and development proposals, including framing research questions, hypothesis, objectives, methodology and budgeting; and to the implementation of projects to enhance the livelihoods of the poor and improve food security in West Africa. Dr. Katic is the author of technical papers published in various economic, hydrological and labor journals.
