In June 2018, the ROAD process was used to support the work of the Niger Basin Authority (NBA) and GIZ to integrate the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems Nexus into the operational plan of the NBA. Claudia Ringler (International Food Policy Research Institute & FE2W Network) worked with 55 participants from the 9 basin countries (Burkina, Chad, Ivory Coast, Mali, Cameroon, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Guinea) using causal risk modelling and the International Council for Science Sustainable Development Goals Framework(pdf) to inform cross-sectoral coordination of more than 300 projects. Detailed information regarding the project can be found in this post on the Nexus Water, Energy & Food Security Resource Platform.
